May is Riesling Month and we have plenty Rieslings to Celebrate. Here are our events planned for the month of May:
May 1st & 2nd we will release the 2008 Martini-Reinhardt Selection Riesling Trockenbeeren. This wine will normally sell for $100 per bottle, but during this release weekend we are offering a 15% discount.
May 29th Peter Becraft and Johannes invite you to taste wines in the cellar. Not only will they let you taste their "babies", but you will learn how it is done, ask questions and taste the wines! They will be pouring ARWC 90+ point wines including; '08 Dry Riesling, '08 MRS Riesling Berry Selection, '08 MRS Riesling Trockenbeeren, '06 Tierce Riesling, '08 Semi Dry Riesling, and some unreleased surprises. This unique tasting will cost $10.
June 5th Our 8th Annual Martini-Reinhardt Selection Dinner served and seated ~Family Style~ food by Chef Lerman, music by Genesee String Quartet, and wines by Johannes Reinhardt. Tickets are $75 with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Ontario-Yates Hospice. Seating is limited. Make reservations today by calling 800-559-2182!
Tierce Release: Celebrate the release of the new Tierce wines: 2007 Tierce Red and 2008 Tierce Riesling. Held in Fox Run’s rustic Barrel Room, we will indulge you with delicious hors d’oeuvres & Tierce wine pairings. This is a chance to mingle with the “Tierce Brothers,” Peter Bell of Fox Run Vineyards, Dave Whiting of Red Newt Cellars and Johannes Reinhardt of Anthony Road Wine Company who created Tierce as an expression of three distinctive winegrowing sub regions of Seneca Lake. Fritz's Polka Band will be back to help us kick off HARVEST 2010! Enjoy the festivities porch-side, stroll through the garden, have a wine tasting...whatever your reasoning, come to enjoy a lighthearted atmosphere and bring the family!
Come join the fun, dance a polka or two and enjoy the frothy federweisser (partially fermented grape juice). Bratwursts from Rochester's own Ralf's Market, homemade onion pie, and "real German" potato salad (Johannes, in addition to making the Federweisser, will be making the potato salad as well this year!).
Mia, Ann and John's oldest granddaughter, and friends will have baked goods for sale with proceeds going to the Keuka Comfort Care Home. Last year she raised over $100 for the Keuka Comfort Care Home. Help her beat last years donation.
