After a few weeks off, John is back at the Market on Saturdays.
If you happen to be at 17th and Broadway(Manhattan) on Saturday, stop by the Green Market at Union Square, stop and say hello to John and buy a bottle or 2 of terrific Anthony Road wine for your dinner! Co-owner, John Martini, has been making the trek to NYC almost every Friday for the past 14 years, so that he can set up and sell his wares at Union Square. This has been a great venue to open people up to the quality of Finger Lakes wines and has attracted several people to visit the Finger Lakes region!
All of our wines are available at the market, and we are there year round. We occassionally will miss a Saturday depending on the weather, and more often than not we opt out of Saturday markets that fall on Holiday Weekends. If you are not sure if we will be there or not, or would like to get a case of a particular wine, just give us a buzz and we can answer your questions and make sure we throw an extra case on the van (1-800-559-2182).
It is usually John that does the market and Ann accompanies him whenever she gets a chance. Johannes (the winemaker) has been known to make the trip or you may run into Peter & Cary Becraft and their son Giles. Whomever you happen to meet there, remember to stop and give it a try...you are bound to find something you will enjoy!
