ANTHONY ROAD WINES TO FLOW AT 30TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL EMMY AWARDS GALA

Finger Lakes Winery’s Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay to ‘Star’ at November Event

NEW YORK/PENN YAN, September 30 – Anthony Road Wine Company’s (ARWC) Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay have been selected as the official wines of the 30th Annual International Emmy Awards Gala. Both wines, from the excellent 2001 vintage, will be served at the Gala black-tie event hosted by The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences that will be held at the New York Sheraton Hotel in Manhattan this November 25.

Said Georges Leclere, Executive Director, The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, "Each year, I have the much coveted responsibility of seeking out the highest quality wines to be served at the International Emmys. As an enophile who grew up in France, I see Anthony Road’s wines easily bridging the old and new world tastes of our members and guests."

Remarked John Martini, co-owner of ARWC, the Finger Lakes winery he co-founded nearly 30 years ago with his wife, Ann, "We’re excited about the opportunity to have a pair of our winery’s stars share the stage with celebrities from the global TV world."

Some 1,000 television executives, celebrities, performers and guests from around the world are expected to attend this year’s Gala. A host for the evening as well as Emmy Award presenters are to be named shortly. The International Emmy Awards is telecast around the world and will once again be the focus of an episode of The E! Channel’s popular television series, "FYE!".

About Anthony Road Wine Company
Located along the upper-Western shores of Seneca Lake, 12 miles south of Geneva, in the heart of the Finger Lakes, Anthony Road Wine Company’s philosophy continues to be to produce excellent wines for "The Everyday Enjoyment of Life" from local quality fruit.

From vineyards planted in 1973, Anthony Road Wine Company (ARWC) began production with the help of family and friends in 1989 in a small barn owned by Ann and John Martini. Since then, ARWC has expanded significantly while still being family-owned and operated. In fact, the Martini’s children are involved in many significant aspects of the company from the grape growing to wine tastings. Today, using European techniques, ARWC is a grower and producer of fine, award winning wines. These wines include major vinifera varietals (Chardonnay, Riesling, and Cabernet Franc) French-American hybrid grapes (Vignoles), as well as several blended wines. The winery has a unique Tasting Room, a new, state-of the art wine processing facility and beautifully landscaped gardens. A true self-contained "grape-to-bottle" operation, all winemaking, bottling, labeling, and storage are handled on-site.
